Meanwhile, Cinder Fall is revealed to have survived the Battle of Haven and begins wandering around the lower levels of Mistral while looking for Ruby's Group. After they seemingly lose hope, Qrow Branwen begins descending more into his alcoholism while the team meets an old woman named Maria Calavera, who manages to save them from great dangers in the wilderness. But things don't go smoothly as our protagonists are separated, forced to walk through the dangerous Mistral wilderness and witness the history of the world, Salem and Ozpin.
After successfully getting the first Relic in Mistral, the next step is to take it to General Ironwood in Atlas.
